“Nothings Wrong Song” written by Janelle Grace & Ava Rives
This song comes from everything that went wrong in Nashville. All the lyrics written in the verses describe all the true wrongs that happened on my journey. We wrote in a more positive light for the chorus part from all the negative experiences I had gone through. It’s an inspiring song to help those who struggle when things go wrong in life to stay strong and not let anyone or anything bring you down, not anyone! A song people can turn to when life gets tough.
“P.S.” written by Janelle Grace & Kevin Robey
We’ve all met someone that we feel a spark with. I met someone whom I thought we had a spark. He was by far like no other man I had met in my life! I was smitten by his personality and charm. I thought there was a mutual feeling between us, but there wasn’t and I found out why. From my personal experience we created a song that tells a story. You have to listen to the whole song and listen to the lyrics carefully in order to understand the story.
“Find a Way” written by Janelle Grace & Kevin Robey
Inspiration to write a song like this came from various job displacements that happened on my journey. You can find yourself in a very dark negative place during difficult struggling times like these. It’s an inspirational song to those who are unemployed and struggling to make ends meet to know “don’t ever give up!” Keep pursuing your applications and interviews because something lies better ahead and you just don’t know it yet! You will find a way! I did and you can too!
“Feast or Famine” written by Janelle Grace & Kevin Robey
This is a story line of things in life that can flourish in a moment, yet also can be taken away instantly. From my personal experience some days were golden and some days I just couldn’t catch a break. When these things happen, just know you’re going to be ok.
“Grass is Greener” written by Janelle Grace & Kevin Robey
This comes from a song I wrote when I was real young over a young puppy love. It had a different hook back then but we changed the hook to a more modern situation that I could definitely relate to relationship/dating wise on my journey here in the South. A song about a girl ditched from a significant other. He told her there are better fish in the sea, the grass is greener than being with you. She then gets all dressed up ready to show her face and have a “look at me now, you can’t have me moment.”
“What Kind of Music” written by Janelle Grace & Kevin Robey.
This song is about a girl studying for finals who sees a boy she doesn’t know yet listening to his headphones while studying. She is wondering if they listen to the same music and have a commonality
“Sign Me Up” written by Janelle Grace & Kevin Robey
This is a rocking party song, sign yourself up for a good time song. This song brought me back to concert times in my home town where Nebraskaland Days takes place at. I needed some fun in my life after all the obstacles, heartache, and pain I had encountered. Reflecting on all the fun times I had at the concerts in the summer in my home town in Nebraska and CMA fest times was definitely what inspired us to write a song like this.
“Never Got To Say Goodbye” written by Janelle Grace & Kevin Robey
All of us have had loved ones leave us unexpectedly without saying goodbye. This is a ballad about a loved one or friend leaving to go to work, run errands, vacation or whatever the occasion may be and not knowing you may never see that person again. To never take any moment for granted with those we encounter in our lifetime.
